Terms of Use
The rules for using chatg.org, including acceptable use, AI output, shared links and copyright complaints.
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of chatg.org, including the chat, AI tools, assistants, prompt library, shared conversation pages and articles (together, "ChatG" or "the service"). By using ChatG, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
ChatG is a free AI chat and assistant website run by an independent team. You can use it without an account. Each visitor receives a daily allowance of free messages, shared between the chat and the AI tools, which resets every day. We may change the allowance, add or remove features, or suspend parts of the service at any time.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or non-infringement.
Acceptable use
You agree to use ChatG lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you must not:
- use the service to create, request or share illegal content, including content that sexualizes minors, promotes terrorism or violence, or infringes other people's rights;
- harass, threaten, defame or impersonate other people, or create content intended to deceive, such as phishing messages, scams or fake reviews;
- try to obtain instructions for weapons capable of mass harm, malware or attacks on systems you do not own or have permission to test;
- try to bypass, reset or manipulate the daily message allowance or other limits, for example by rotating IP addresses or automating requests;
- access the service through bots, scrapers or other automated means, scrape or copy our content in bulk, or use our processing service as an API for your own products;
- interfere with the operation or security of the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or overload it;
- enter other people's personal data without a lawful reason.
We may limit, block or refuse access to anyone who breaks these rules, and remove related shared conversations, without notice.
AI output disclaimer
Answers in ChatG are generated automatically by AI language models and are not reviewed by people. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased or inappropriate, and may resemble text that exists elsewhere.
You are responsible for how you use the output, and you should check important information with reliable sources. ChatG provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional advice: do not make medical, legal, financial or safety decisions based on it without consulting a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. When you use AI output in academic or professional work, follow your institution's or employer's rules on AI assistance and originality.
Within the limits of applicable law, you may use the text you receive from ChatG for your own personal or commercial purposes, provided your use complies with these terms and with the rights of others.
Your content and shared links
You keep any rights you have in the text you type into ChatG and are responsible for what you enter. You give us permission to process your content as needed to operate the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
When you create a share link, a read-only copy of the conversation is published at a public address that anyone with the link can open. You are responsible for the content you share and for who receives the link. Do not share conversations containing other people's personal data, confidential information or content that breaks these terms. You allow us to host and display shared conversations until they are removed. You cannot edit a shared copy; to have it removed, email hello@chatg.org with the link. We may remove any shared conversation at our discretion, including after a report.
Our content and intellectual property
The ChatG name and logo, the design of the site, the articles, guides, prompt library, assistant descriptions and other content we publish belong to ChatG or our licensors. You may use individual prompts and short excerpts for personal use and share links to our pages, but you may not republish our pages or substantial parts of them, or copy the site's design, without our written permission.
Trademarks and independence
ChatG is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, Alibaba, Mistral AI, DeepSeek or any other AI company. Names such as ChatGPT, GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Llama, Qwen, Mistral and DeepSeek belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify those products. The model menu in the chat is a style preference and does not give access to any third-party product.
Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on chatg.org, including a shared conversation, infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@chatg.org with the following information:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- the exact URL or URLs of the content you want removed;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will review valid notices and remove infringing content where appropriate. If you believe content was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address explaining why.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChatG and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, from AI output, from content shared by other users, or from third-party ads and the websites they lead to. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the lowest amount permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country, including rights you have as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you keep using ChatG after a change, you accept the updated terms.
