What the Essay Writer does
The Essay Writer produces a structured model essay on your topic: a title, an introduction that ends with a thesis, body paragraphs that each develop one point, and a conclusion that ties the argument together. You choose the essay type, the academic level and the approximate length.
Think of the result as a worked example. It shows how an argument can be organized, how paragraphs connect and what a clear thesis looks like. The best way to use it is to study it, outline your own version, research real sources and write the final essay yourself.
How to use it
- Enter the topic and instructions. Paste the assignment question, add your position if you have one, and note any requirements, such as "discuss two counterarguments" or "focus on the 1990s".
- Choose the essay type: argumentative, persuasive, expository, compare and contrast, cause and effect, analytical or narrative.
- Select the level: high school, college or university, or advanced.
- Pick the length: about 300, 600 or 1,000 words.
- Press Generate. Copy the draft, Regenerate for a different structure, or Continue in chat to work on the thesis, a paragraph or the conclusion.
The essay is written in the language of your topic and instructions.
Tips for better results
- Bring your own argument. "Argue that school uniforms reduce peer pressure but limit self-expression" gives a much sharper essay than "school uniforms".
- Paste the real assignment. Rubrics often ask for specific things: a counterargument, a set number of examples, a particular text. Include them.
- Look for the placeholders. The tool does not invent sources or statistics. Where evidence would help, it inserts a note like [source: survey of student reading habits]. That is your research list.
- Generate an outline first. In the chat, ask for a thesis and outline only, then write the paragraphs yourself and ask for feedback on each one.
- Compare two structures. Regenerate once and see how a different order of points changes the argument.

Example
Topic: Should schools replace printed textbooks with tablets? Argue for a mixed approach. Argumentative, high school, about 300 words.
Start of the essay: Books and Screens: Why Schools Need Both. Tablets promise lighter backpacks and up-to-date content, while printed textbooks offer focus and equal access. Rather than choosing one, schools should combine them, using each where it helps students learn best...
The body then gives one paragraph to the strengths of tablets, one to the strengths of print with a placeholder for research on reading comprehension, and one to the counterargument about cost, before the conclusion.
Academic integrity: use it to learn
This is the most important part of this page. Most schools and universities have rules about AI, and they differ widely. Some allow AI for brainstorming and outlining, some require you to disclose any use, and some ban it for graded work. Submitting a generated essay as your own work, where that is not allowed, is academic misconduct and can have serious consequences.
- Check your course rules before using any AI tool for an assignment, and ask your teacher if they are unclear.
- Write the final text yourself. Use the model essay to understand structure, then build your own argument in your own words.
- Use real sources. Find, read and cite actual books and articles. Never cite a source you have not checked.
- Verify facts. AI can be wrong. Our guide on fact-checking AI answers shows how to confirm claims quickly.
